BBC Broadcast selects IdeasUnlimited.tv for logo fingerprinting
Sponsors able to track the use of logos


Stand 8.536, IBC2003, Amsterdam: Media fingerprinting specialist, IdeasUnlimited.tv, has confirmed an agreement with BBC Broadcast Limited to provide ingest and monitoring stations to log its use of sponsors’ logos enabling them to accurately track placement on BBC World.

IdeasUnlimited.tv’s ingest station allows operators to capture a logo from a video input, enter identifying metadata and register it with the monitoring station. From there the monitoring station continuously tracks video input for all logos and automatically outputs a daily log including date, time and metadata of all logos used. Using this technology, BBC World, the BBC’s commercially funded 24-hour international news and information channel, is able to reassure sponsors that their logo is being played at specified times.
